I’ve been lost so many times, but this time is not the same. I’m walking through crowds, in search for my place. Where one side is blind another one is deaf. I just wanna escape this mess, I wanna be somewhere where I don’t get distressed. We have built the walls around us so one is not able to hear another opinion, an opposite thought. So no one is offended, the path is clear. You can finally feel proud of how you used your voice. Nothing is solved, nothing is done, and I cannot bear the noise. Get away from this mess, gotta get away.

We’ve got a problem when every time we see a woman standing for her rights she has to face a sea of open threats and the standard aggression. I was born with the privilege of being treated like a man, just as long as I understand that my worth will be judged solely based on masculinity. Watch as society bends over backwards to excuse misogyny. Can’t we just stand up and say: “Not OK”?
Just one of the guys, I’m not expected to call out or criticize when I see the signs of disrespect and objectification. I think our gender expectations just hold us back from more meaningful relations, and when we turn our backs they deal with this shit everyday - I bet it gets old real fast.

I remember so many things about you. Some memories have faded and some have been forgotten. And the strength that I admired, I wanted to find it to have the same fire. Sometimes, when I am lost or I am sad, I am thinking of something you would’ve said. I just wanna say goodbye but it’s too late. I wanna listen to a story you forgot to tell. I just wanna say goodbye. I wanna ask one more question and keep this conversation in my mind. Could have told you how many times I failed. You would probably smile and teach me how to prevail. Sometimes I would catch a bit of sadness in your eyes. It is like a reminder how remarkable was your life.

So glad this band has come on my radar. If this album had come out in '94/95 it would be considered a classic, a la Trashed or Leche Con Carne. Also the vid for Breakfast at Pamela's is straight-out genius.
